Vehicle Inspections & Pre-sale checks & Mot’s

Here at Ride Drive Store we make every effort to ensure each car goes out prepared correctly with a valid M.O.T. Where necessary we will replace any defective parts, carry out a service and if the vehicle has under 9 months MOT we will put a fresh one on the vehicle. Often we will replace the Cambelt and Water Pump where required.

With the classics we sell we want them to give many miles of enjoyment, but our most important aspect with any of the vehicles is that they are safe. We perform a full inspection on each vehicle, along with a full test drive to access any issues. We then prepare our vehicles and are transparent about any other things that the customer should know and may wish to improve in the future. We are also happy to discuss and quote any upgrades and additional items that a customer may want carrying out to the vehicle once purchased to ensure they have their perfect car.

We are very happy to show and discuss our findings with potential customers. We like to think we give all our customers a clear and honest condition report of each car.

Vehicle Sourcing

We have many years in performing ‘Pre Purchase Inspections’ on behalf of our client base whilst working full time with our partnering company Elite Motor Tune Ltd in Northampton. Customers have come to trust the services on high performance vehicles and therefore employ us to find and then visit to car to give it an indepth pre purchase check and report back the customer. This has been invaluable for many clients to either give them peace of mind or to sometimes walk away and find their perfect car. Often we negotiate our fee off the final price of the vehicle in the form of work required or imperfections.

Our Warranty

All of our modern cars are supplied with our own ‘Back to base’ warranty of at least 3 months/3000 miles. We have found insurance backed warranties are sometimes inadequate for the needs of our customers and the vehicles we provide, so we will always try and go the extra mile to make sure that we look after our customers’ needs and attend to problems promptly. We require the vehicle to be brought to our workshop facilities where we will diagnose and get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Due to the age of classics we can’t offer a warranty as such, but in the unfortunate instance of a serious mechanical failure we require the vehicle returning to us for inspection so we can understand what has happened and where possible resolve the issue. At RDS we want all our customers to be happy and back on the road as soon as possible, but it should be noted that any after sale repairs carried out are at our discretion.


Viewings, Inspections & Test Drives

We operate on a strict appointment only basis to ensure our customers receive our undivided attention. Where possible we like to discuss as much of the vehicle as possible, supply further details, images or a video before you leave your home and so you know exactly what are you are travelling to see. We do not have the resources to accommodate general browsers who just want to come and have a look and focus on the serious buyers needs. We are a small dealership and are not open to the general public in that sense. All of our time is spent focussing on buying and preparing our cars, then accommodating the genuine customers who know they want our car/motorcycle based on the description and photographs and any further information they require.

We are happy for any inspections on our vehicles, and with notice we have facilities for cars to be inspected on a ramp if required.

Upon arrival and once the customer is satisfied in general with the vehicle, we are happy to take the customer out for a test drive.
Unfortunately, we do not let customers test ride our motorcycles.


Part Exchange

We are happy to take a look at any on/off road vehicle or that sparks an interest that you may wish to part exchange. Upon details & an inspection we can access and provide you with a trade value. Please send us some basic information and a few photographs and we will come back to you ASAP.


Delivery & Export

We can arrange fully insured, worldwide delivery using the best, trusted car transport companies. Often we deliver vehicles locally personally.

Deposits

Cars can be secured with a deposit if required to take them off sale. So if you are on holiday, away on business, don’t miss out on your perfect car. We can discuss or send what information is required to ensure you are happy until you view the vehicle if required. Please note: Deposits are non returnable.
